9.12.11. Cold and miserable and wet. Working on the top of the slip. The hole is down to depth and partly filled with hardcore. Some complications. In addition to the reinforcement for the concrete slab, we need reinforcement for each of the first lengths of the track which will be sunk into the concrete so that the tractor can run over them and the WE can run onto them. Additionally we have the pipe connecting the pump-out to the mains sewage system, the big coil of blue pipe, and the mains electricity cable and the mains water pipe, all in the same areas. The blue pipe needs to be threaded from the road way side of the slip across the hole we've dug, to the opposite corner. The water and electricity run just to the road side of the hole, but the concrete over them is inadequate for the job of protecting them, being 6" thick and laid directly onto soil, and it's already cracking. So it's good sense to remove it and do the whole job properly.
