20.9.11. A miserable, drizzly day, but the five of us got quite a lot of work done. Cleaned up part of the area in front of the apron and fitted two new piles to make a total of nine round the diesel tank. The eighth pile had to be taken out as we couldn't get it down to depth, it had struck one of the timbers of the boat sunk there for the old slipway. The timbers had to be dug out before we could re-locate and hammer the pile into place. We also had an important meeting with John M on the design of the whole project and the next steps to be taken. A good helpful meeting.
