24.1.12. A cold and very wet morning, but we brazened it out and got good work done on welding vertical plates to the bottom of the tracks to retain the concrete under the tracks. We also bolted the first two tracks down with countersink bolts, so the wheels of the WE won't be cut by hex. bolt heads.
The top of the slip is being prepared for two full loads of concrete this Friday, 14 cubic metres. Alan has been sending out messages for the concrete gang to be there then. Note that the Stig isn't resting but welding the plates to the track underside.
