19.10.11. Over the last two days the line of the newly added piles was reviewed and found to be veering away from the bank. So the last three piles were withdrawn and re-planted more in line, together with more to complete the line.
However it was found to be more difficult to get them to depth hence the scene here. To complete their stability, they were tied to a pile driven into dry land well away from the water, with reinforcing bars. The tops of the overlong piles will have to be cut to the height of the others, but after the land behind has been filled.
The major work of the day was cutting and welding the piles near the verticals of the frame, A to F, in preparation for the track to be welded to them.
