12.9.11. Over the weekend the apron was completed, re-inforcing added and welded, ready for the concrete on the morning of Thursday the 15th. We had some entertaining moments during the nights of the weekend when the pump failed to click on when instructed to by its float switch, and the apron flooded to the full depth that the concrete was to occupy. It finally relented and sprang into action and pumped it all clear again. But as a back up, a second pump was brought into play. So we now have two pumps working, and they're keeping the water at bay.
